1st CHAPTER : In 1929 a Swiss gentleman called Gotthilf Mettler returned from a journey in the UK with a glycerin soap recipe handed by a British doctor Thanks to its high glycerin content 20 the soap protects particularly well against skin dryness Despite the fact, that glycerin soap was practically unknown in Europe at the time, Mr Mettler saw its high potential He built his own soap factory in Switzerland and launched his very first glycerin soap the “Soap for Doctors” that was primarily intended for the medical professionals.

Almost 100 years later, the soap factory is still operating, and our glycerin soap is sold in pharmacies all over Switzerland and worldwide. The perfume of our glycerin soap has marked generations in Switzerland and reminds people of home.
